Whaea Trina's Powhakangahau
Last night I went to Whaea Trinas farewell. It was
at the NMIT student center. It started at 5:30.
Whaea Trina entered the building while we sang a song
After that we went and had some food, It was DELICIOUS!
After that I got an ice-cream from Kowhai.
After that my friends and I played secret spys. My
name was shadow potato. It was very fun.
Later on we watched a slide show.It was very dramatic. It
was made by Matua Tony. After that it was an open mic but
without a mic.
Finally it was boggie time, but after the first 2 songs
I went home.
I liked it at Whaea Trinas farewell cause it was so AWESOME!

Matariki acrostic poem.
Marks the first month of the Maori New Year,
A magnificent sight,
The six sisters,
A time to plant crops,
Rising over the horizon,
In early June,
Koutou, we all come together,
It's a time to celebrate.

Letter to Matua Manihera

Nelson Central School
Te Pouahi 17
70 Nile Street
WHAKATU
Kia Matua Manihera,
Thank you very much for coming to answer the many questions we had that needed answering. I have learned a lot from you, especially about Celestial Navigation. I never knew you could navigate with stars, clouds and swells.
I enjoyed listening to all the information you told us.
